Homemade Artisan Bread: To give a country style to the bread, turn over the dough in the oven tray and sprinkle flour over it. You can also decorate the bread by making cuts with a knife. lf you choose this form of decoration DO NOT TURN THE DOUGH OVER. The made bread will have more aroma and denser interior.


  • 3 cups lukewarm water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated yeast
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons kosher or other course salt
  • 6 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • cornmeal for pizza peel (optional)
